November & December 2013
From Mrs. Kacedon's Pencil . . .
The cold weather and the holiday season bring many wonderful learning experiences and activities for the students at LDW. The building is filled with many creative art projects, samples of student work, and thoughts of helping others during this time of year. Thank you to the ATBOE, the PTO, the ATEF , the Rotary Club and our local farmer, Mr. Swift for donating their time and effort into contributing educational opportunities that have enhanced our learning programs.
A Time for Thanks-
As in the past, I see that our LDW families assist the less fortunate in our community and around Hunterdon County. As you read though the newsletter, you will find that our school community will be extending a helping hand through service projects that are being led by our teachers and parents. Caring for our families and having the ability to care for others in need shows the generosity we have for our fellow man. Our parents set a good example of integrity for our children that will carry over into their adult lives.
The LDW staff would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and wonderful holiday season with your family and friends.
Please remember to dress your children for the weather. Students will go outside for recess well into the winter at LDW. We recommend winter coats, hats and gloves to keep the children warm on the play ground.
A Big thank you to the ATEA for making crochet scarves, purses and Hershey Kiss filled holiday mugs for the 2013 LDW Holiday Shop.
